We grow fall bearing raspberries. Brandon is our raspberry expert and he loves to try out new varieties that have excellent taste and a large size. Our small patch is located inside one of our high tunnels which helps to extend our season of berries. Typically, we have raspberries to pick from the beginning of September until we freeze. Because we currently only have a small patch, we usually sell berries by the pint at the stand. However, we love when people want to pick their own, so contact us, if you do.
We strive to bring the best flavored sweet corn, with the shortest growing season. We currently really like the Anthem variety.
We love pumpkins! We love all the fun and unique varieties. We are going to add larger sized and more traditional ones to our mix this year. Typically, we harvest in September before we have a hard freeze.
We save our best and biggest garlic cloves from the previous year and plant those. Our record keeping hasn’t been the best, so we aren’t sure on varieties, but they are good. For the past two years we’ve planted onions in the fall, and they are huge by summer.
We love to grow peppers! This year we are going with a variety of sweet peppers, jalapeños, poblanos, & Anaheim. Our tomatoes are never as fruitious as we’d like, even in the high tunnel. We usually try and grow some slicers for eating, but never have enough Romas for those that want to can.
